Hi,
I just finished reading your book. I bought it after hearing your interview with Andrew Chrystal on News 95.7 Wow, what an eerily similar story. Thanks for putting it into words. For years people have been telling me to write my story down but its too overwhelming to go through the experience again.
I too married a clinically diagnosed psychopath. Of course I didn't know it at the time.. :) 2 years of abuse later, and almost losing my life several times.. I managed to escape. Thankfully I was able to deport him before he had landed residency, so I don't have to live in fear.
It still is confusing to this day, how a sucessful, smart and educated person, with a great supportive family could get mixed up with someone so dangerous and not feel like I could leave him.
Thanks again for the read, and making those of us who have endured something equally as terrifying, remind us that we were not alone.
